Macro Frui w/o 12/30/25: Good Company.

Macro frui w/o 12/30/25

The end of the year is the time of year we truly get to be ourselves. The reason being is for a brief moment we get to set responsibilities aside and choose to be in…

Good company.

I think we get so tied up in the nuances of everyday life that we sometimes forget to let go of the pressure we place on ourselves. When you surround yourself in good company, these boundaries we create dissipate and our true selves step into the light. There’s something special about surrounding yourself with the people that know you better than you know yourself. When we put ourselves in these scenarios we ultimately get to live moment to moment, reflecting on where people are in their lives. It’s amazing to see how much can change in a year, it’s even more amazing to see someone change over a period of ten years. Reflecting on these moments is crucial because it brings us back into the present moment, and reminds us that there are people out there that truly have unconditional love for you.

If you’re like me and place a lot of pressure on yourself, these people can ground you a bit and remind you that whatever you perceive of yourself may in fact not be how other people do. As we progress through the year, whatever challenges/opportunities present themselves make us grow. It’s beautiful watching people grow, sometimes for the better, and sometimes for reasons they may not have wanted or expected. With each lesson we build up a suit of armor, sometimes the armor is glistening with gold, and sometimes it gets pierced by a poisonous arrow and we have to suffer. When we surround ourselves in a safe haven of good company, the armor can come off, and we can truly get to see the battle scars that we faced while in battle.

The healing process that we experience when we finally get to take the armor off is when we get to show our true colors. When we get to be vulnerable we often get to release trauma that the body naturally stores. In doing so, we get to decompress and reset, so when the next round of lessons approaches we are more prepared than the previous year. Watching people grow is such a cool experience, and if you’re lucky enough to grow with people over a number of years, it’s such an amazing experience to see the people you genuinely have unconditional love for reach places they’ve always dreamt of reaching.

This is a shoutout to everyone that’s made this year special, given their unconditional love, and helped me shed my armor. You guys are loved, you guys give me optimism, and you guys help me move my needle forward. This is also a reminder to hug the good company around you, life can be cruel and unjust. Remind them that you are there for them, whether they’ve taken an arrow or putting on a new plate of armor.

Happy New Years and thanks for reading.

With love,

Kai
