Macro Frui w/o 8/17/25: Observation

The power of sitting in the present moment and being able to witness your surroundings, ultimately dictates how we interact with the world. That is the power of…

Observation.

There are many moments I think we feel like we are completely out of alignment with where we want to be. We set expectations, ponder lives of others that seem to have more than we, and pursue results often in the name of sacrifice. Yet, when we truly sit and observe, we force ourselves to disconnect from what could be, what has been, and into what is now. In that state, we often aren’t far off from where we strive to be.

Like a wave, observation teaches you to sit in the now, and positively react to situations that present themselves to you. For example, if you’re at the beach, and you see someone walk past you that has the body type you’ve always wanted. The power of observation should lead you to understand how someone with that body type conducts themselves. Leaving you the opportunity to either act, ponder, or generate excuses for why it could never be. Instead, if you ride your emotions that are stimulated by your reaction to said observation, it could lead you to buying a gym membership and putting your body in a position to achieve that state.

Another power of observation, especially in a social setting, is knowing how to interact with different types of people in different settings. Often those who know how to read a room, are those who are great at networking, understanding the human psyche, and putting themselves in places where they’d like to be eventually. For example, when my girlfriend was looking for a job initially. I told her that everyone else is going to try and speak with as many representatives as possible. Instead, what I suggested she do is find a handful of people in the line of work she’d eventually like to be in, and have a more in-depth conversation with them. People like to feel heard, people like to know a bit about your personality, and those two things lead to making an impression. Through the power of observation, she was able to find ways in which to steer the conversation, leading to four half hour long conversations and four job offers.

The reason observation is so powerful is because many things that operate in our world aren’t totally random. I am a believer that our intuition is as great a guide as our mental. By knowing how to look for signs that present themselves, you can truly alter the trajectory of your well being. Whether you’re looking for a relationship, wealth, status, or anything that you may want to explore eventually, the signs are constantly there. An example I have of that is through my graphic design work. The only way you can be successful in that line of work is by solving people’s problems they didn’t know they had in the first place. In a 30 second conversation, being able to pick up visual clues on what makes a design unique to a client could mean the difference between a one time job, and a long term partnership.

I hope this helps for anyone that may be going through something they can’t quite work out. Sometimes it’s best to sit with your observations until you can pick out the signs.

Thanks for reading.

With love,

Kai

If it looks like a duck

If it walks like a duck

If it talks like a duck

Then it probably is a duck.
